Hello BFs,

Anyone here ever tried the Kershaw Decimus, which was recently released? They are now available on HQ as well as on fBay.
Here is what I know:
Hinderer:$400+, flipper, PM-20CV, made in the USA.
Kershaw:$40+, spring assisted, Stainless Steel, imported.

I saw a lot of folks here selling their Hinderer in past few months, wasn't sure the original one was a good choice for the money. But I would like to give a try on the Kershaw.
So, what you think?

for the price you almost can't go wrong, I not a fan of 8cr13mov (it's not bad either), I'd gladly pay another $20 for 14c28n for something like this

(I also hope the spring assist is easy to remove, I'd like this even more if it was just an option)

I have Hinderer Maximus, Double Edge CPM 20CV Black DLC, with Black Hardware and Black CF scales. I plan to buy another Hinderer just like it when they come with bearings. I just might buy a Kershaw model too. It looks fine.

Have not been impressed with any of the Kershaw imports from the last few years. Good designs, but each example I have received has had lacking fit/finish to an extent I could not use or want to keep the knife. I love the idea of this knife, but I don't want to waste money again.

If there was a 3.5 inch Decimus with a Dagger Grind I'd try one, but a 3.25 inch with that Bayonet (?) grind is a pass for me. But overall it doesn't look like bad value.

You get a good point over there!
Kinda wondering here why Kershaw didn't use the design for ZT series. Guess it's not worth somehow.
