I love this knife! I used to eyeball in the case for a few years at GPK before I finally bought one. It was money very well spent. I have recently enjoyed autos since they have become legal in Illinois, but once I picked up my XM-18 again, I remembered why I love it so much. Hinderer, Strider, and Spyderco make the absolute best handles on folding knives imaginable.

I have one in OD green. Great knife other than it came pretty dull.

The 18 was not very sharp and my ceramic rods are at an angle a lot different. Took me a long time to get it changed, but now it's very sharp after rods and stropping. It's my user out of my 3 Hinderers and you can't even tell it's been used thanks to the excellent stonewash.

My XM's have all arrived at 50 degrees inclusive. Most have had a very good apex, but 50 degrees and thick behind the edge won't impress much at slicing. They are extremely tough though, which is the goal.

That is a GREAT looking blade, Anthony! I live a few hours away, but stop by GP Knives whenever I am in Edwardsville. Great little shop, and nice people who work there. I am glad there is another knife nut in my general locale!
