$600 (which is exactly what these models sold for back in the 90's) Hitachi C8FG 8-1/2' Slide Compound Miter Saw Koki Japan

I live in San Diego North County, Coastal. I thought I would give it a shot & list this here first, before I try different venues, as I've had pretty good luck dealing FTF with some of the stellar member's, located here in SoCal.

Any skilled woodworker's/trim carpenter's who know tools & have worked in the trades for any reasonable length of time, should know this model: Hitachi C8FB 8-1/2" Slide Compound Miter Saw. Arguable 1 of thee finest trim saw ever manufactured. This is 1 of Hitachi's older high quality models back when they were still manufactured in Koki, Japan; these had the highest review ratings of all saws listed on Amazon for about 10 years in a row. Sadly, the Hitachi brand followed suit with about every single American made tool company (Porter Cable being 1 of my personal favorites) and defected outsourcing their manufacturing, to be made in, China. These newer model (Made in China) saws, are literally crap and are worthy of their 2-Star pathetic ratings. China may be pretty good at cloning some of our Made in the USA knives.....but they sure suck, when it comes to tools!

A family member gave me this tool about 20+ years ago, which Ive kept stored in a rubbermaid container ever since. This saw was used only 1 time- to install some wood flooring/base in a Yoga studio up in Monterey Peninsula, and it's near pristine condition reflects this. The plastic guard was removed but everything was kept and can be reinstalled if need be. I already have another 1 of these models which I use to this day...along with 4 other larger model slide compound saws.

Super high quality wood working tools like this model, won't be coming back anytime soon. If I get any interest here, I may be listing a few discontinued Porter Cable tools (like the PC 126 Door Planer), made here in the USA, as well....before PC defected to China and their tools turned into crap too.

I can vouch for the claims of quality of this tool. I’ve had one for many years, have used it a ton, and much prefer to use it over my dewalt 12” sliding compound saw. For precise cuts or any job where precision is necessary this is a bad ass tool. Wish mine looked this good. Good luck with your sales, I’ll keep an eye out for your other items.
