Quick question, I have read on some tip-&-trick pages that a hockey puck cut in half can be used for a sanding block. M question is how is the best way to cut one in half, ax, saw, sharp knife:confused::confused:
Thanks

I made a sanding block using a puck once for hand finishing a hollow ground blade - used an 8-inch wheel to ensure right radius (?), and cut it out on my metal cutting bandsaw - does a real nice job, as the blade runs slow. Alternatively, I would suggest a hacksaw.

Maybe a Canadian trick!!!

i did the same with several pucks. I drew the radius on the pucks and cut them out with my band saw. Really works great to hand sand when you have the same radius as the grinding wheel.
