I have the ex-f01and 02, plus the x5 folder, they are well made for sure. I wish they would do some in magnacut or 3v then they would be contenders. Not a fan of the push button release on the sheath though I'll take a standard ballistic or kydex. Hogue sells their full and medium sized ballistic sheaths separately and they are excellent quality.

Not a fan of the safety feature of the knife sheath on the bottom, leave it up to the user to practice safe knife handling, don't be a nanny and throw some measure in the mix, only makes it a pain in the arse to remove it, reason I sold mine

It's just their version of a retention device, which lots of makers and companies incorporate into their sheaths. It's so you can rappel upside down from a stealth helicopter. You must not be very tactical.

I had an EXF-01. It was kinda fun to swing around and wildly heavy duty but I really didn't love the ergonomics of the handle. I haven't seen a hogue fixed blade that really does it for me yet.

Must not be.
It works for what it was designed to be used for

I like the 7" EX-F01 that I've got.

It came w/Cocobolo scales that looked too nice. Easy to order a black G10 scales by phone and they threw in a wrench for free that was missing from the knife that I bought 2nd hand.

Hogue customer service rocks!
