Homemade 100lb power hammer

Some of you may have seen this before. Ive been looking over videos and pics of homemade hammers for a long while and was impressed with this homemade 100 lb hammer in the appalachian style. It flat moves the metal and is super duty for sure. Check out the anvil post made from stacks of plate...Runs very smooth from the looks of it..

Cool hammer, I built a 50 pounder like that several years ago, never could get it working rite, but it was better than a hand hammer for my arm. Mine didn't run as smooth as that one though. Love the tire hammer I have now, now Clay needs to design a 100 pound tire hammer and I'd be good to go.
 
Did the foot control vary the stroke as well as the speed. Seemed like the control was pretty impressive.
