Hoppes 9 for knife lubrication?

As long as you use the oil and not the solvent it works ok. I use it but something like tuff glide is better.

Hoppe's is for kids (and really old men). Use Breakfree CLP. Or if you really want to save your pennies buy a quart of Dexron Automatic Transmission fluid. Seriously. I have been using it on firearms for years and it works very well. Get a small applicator bottle that will dispenese drops from a crafts store. You'll probably never need to buy another bottle of oil. I use it for almost everything in my shop.

This is the best lubricant and applicator that I've found to use on folding knives.

Just make sure it isn't the solvent haha. It would probably eat away at the bushings.

I use fluorinated grease in my pivots but I have heard great things about nano oil.
