Several years ago at the festival a fellow craftsman asked me to make a small fish trap to catch sunfish and other small fish in his farm pond. He never picked up the trap so I kept the trap for display.

Hey Tony. Thanks for sharing those excellent pictures. I would love to be able to attend that festival, but it's too far away.

BTW, what did you use for the rings in the Sunfish trap?

I had a length of aluminum wire that was coiled in rings just the right size. On the bottom of the coils you can see where I did a bit of whipping to hold the ends together

I was there once as a boy. I loved it. I am glad to see it continue. We farmed with draft horses as a boy. The neighbors had a treadmill just like that. I hope to have a team again some day.
