Hot Off The Bench!

Is this the same blade as the AXD Tanto? Maybe it's the angle of the photograph, but the blades look different. Can anyone (Hark?) confirm this?

Thanks.
It's the same blade and grind. One of those pictures was only rough ground and not yet finished. Maybe that's what looked different.

This knife takes my cake and eats it too, violently. I would love more info on this monster.

So..Ahhh...What am I looking at? I've read through the thread a little bit here and am at a loss for the name of this particular blade.

Really nice work on all of these here guys, I've always been fond of damascus in anyway it can be used and it's great to see you using it in so many dimensions in these knives. It may not mean much, as I'm just starting out my foray into mass knife ownership (i won't say collecting, i'll be using them all) but you guys are definitely on my list.

That's a Model 10 -- it's an exclusive model for one of Darrel's longtime dealers, True North Knives (TNK). You can see another one that TNK previously sold at the link below, which includes the specs for the knife as well. The one in this thread is almost the same, except that the blade opens with a thumb stud instead of a flipper, the decorative material underneath the slotted carbon fiber overlays is different, and the hardware (pivot pin, screws, pocket clip, etc.) isn't bronzed.

Freshly made HTM Gunhammers with Chad Nichols damascus. Chad did some neat stuff with heavier layering on the outside -- the patterns really pop out even from the other side of the room on these!

If you're interested in snagging one of the damascus GHs or one of the Madd Maxx protos pictured in Hark's post above, hit up Darrel at dralph "at" earthlink "dot" net for pricing and other info.

Here are pics of the prototype G-10 HTM Gunhammers Ron mentioned:

Also, here's a quick pic Darrel took of a just-finished custom AXD with 4" dagger blade and blue ivory inlay:

My wife and daughter love the pink knife. They were wondering if Darrel does purple too and in a smaller size?
I'll drop Darrel a line to see if purple or any other colors are offered. Regarding size, my guess is that since the unusual colors/finishes aren't regular production but rather are customizations offered through the HTM Custom Shop -- basically the name for HTM's in-house customization service -- they could do it on any size Madd Maxx you wanted.
