I guess it would be better than nothing. I have a original aircrew crash axe and it is of limited use in my world. The edge is obtuse , really no good for chopping or cutting anything. I would like to see an original mount which I have read is what the hole in the blade is for. I was going to weld it up to match a hydrant nut once, changed my mind because of the unknown history of the axe. This one was saved from a junk bucket going to the scrap yard. I cleaned it up , did a quick parkerize on it and retired it.
They are novelties to be sure! A flea market vintage fire axe will easily outperform something like this but the 'wow' and 'cool' factor won't be there. What exactly is it you are looking for?
