How "compatible" are blades? - Question about Manix 2

I have a spyderco manix 2 lightweight with a maxamet blade, however the handle is broken, like really really really broken. Now because it's a lightweight it does not come apart, atleast with the screws. Could I cut the FRN handle away and take this exact maxamet blade and put it in place another manix 2 blade (a manix 2 with a g10 handle and steel liners, the kind the disassembles).

They seem to be the exact same blade length, and shape, I would really love to make use of this maxamet blade in a cheaper g10 manix 2

Yeas, you can use a small drill bit and take out the rivets
