I am not able to bump my listings to the Top of the Thread after 24 hours. It just posts a reply but does not push the listing to the top. Is this no longer possible? On USN, you simply reply to the post and it automatically sends it to the most recent post in the thread. Please help out if you can. Thank you.

Different forums, different rules.

Look through them, the section fo

9. You must wait 14 days (2 weeks) to relist an item for the second time. So once you list an item for sale, that item cannot appear for a second time in a sales thread until 2 weeks have passed from the date of the original thread. Bumping threads or "BTTT" in the sales sections has been disabled due to abuse.

Since the guy who was the main reason for this rule change has been banned for several years now, is there any chance of getting the rule changed back? Maybe on a trial basis?

Wow, I an understand the need to restrict things so it doesn't get out of control. But 14 days seems like a long time compared to the 24 hours it used to be. Its so frustrating when one person ruins the entire Forum for everyone that abide by the rules and never broke them.

thanks for the info anyway. I was just really confused. So my listing cannot be bumped to the top until its been 14 days since I created the listing, is that correct?

I don't remember it ever being 24 hours. I do remember it being minimum 72 hours between thread bumps.

It was never about one member. It was about being too easy for impatient sellers to constantly bump their sales, or have their friends post "Wow, nice knife!"

This forces a level playing field. Also, since the sales remain in chronological order of original post. a buyer only has to scan down the new sales until he sees one that's been up a while.

This system is only in place in the Exchange. The other forums all work by BTTT.

Moderators were constantly correcting people bumping their own or others' threads.

It still wont bump to the top after 14 days.

However, after the 14 days you are allowed to repost the item by creating a new sales/trade thread. In essence, bumping it back to the top.

The 72hr rule worked fine, but unfortunately people found a way of getting around. Now there's no "bumping" for any of us.

Posted bumps are annoying, IMO.
Two weeks to repost is beyond my attention span...if it hasn't sold in 4-5 days, I'll usually withdraw.

Most people simply add a link into their sigline, once there is shows up in every post you've ever made. Not behyond the attention span of 100K+ members though I assure you.

I just found out yesterday that you can bump in the kitchen knives for sale section in the exchange . Interesting

It is still happening so I guess it is not against the rules . I have only seen one person using it , so most are respectful .

I see it this way
