basic question
just smoothing out some stainless steel liners,
starting with 600 grit, so as not to remove too
much. The paper fills very quickly, does it work better
wet or is there some other trick to it?

Thanks

I clean mine with 99 percent isopropyl alcohol. the alcohol lifts the abraided material instantly and it then can be lifted off with a rag. leave perfectly clean paper.

It drys in seconds and your ready to go.

If it is wet/dry sandpaper, by all means use it wet. Makes a world of difference.

I am am a bodyman, and I use this wet sand paper a lot. Put the paper right under running water and sand right under a steady stream of water over it. If you don't do that, just keep dunking the paper under water. Do this often. It with not clog if you do this. In my experences you can get a knife very wet and as long as you dry it as soon as your done you will be fine and rust free.

If you use a little detergent in your water, it works wonders.

I use a spray bottle with a detergent/water mix and squirt as needed. If you are having to put a lot of effort into it, you might want to consider dropping down to a 400 grit.
