I was looking on Ebay and saw some of these knives. I know they have to be Chinese or Indian made at those prices, but just wondered how the overall quality is???

They're inexpensive (relatively) imports, yes. I've reviewed several of them and found the quality of the models tested to be decent. Bokers always run a little more in price than do some other comparable knives (I guess because they're imported from Germany, etc.), but I thought I got a good product for the cost. I'm partial to several Boker models, to be honest. I like the brand, overall.

As far as I know, their magnum line is made in Taiwan.

I'd say it can be divided in two parts.

A "very cheap" magnum line (prices around $15, steel: 420, 440A...), which compares with the very cheap stuff (Fury, Mtech...) except it's a tad better (I'd say comparable to herbertz), priced accordingly

And a "bargain" magnum line (prices around $30-$60, steel: aus8, 440C...), which is of surprisingly good quality.

The "very cheap" stuff is, well, very cheap stuff,... but still better then average.

I've seen very good things within the "bargain" stuff. I've had some AK74 autos (legal here by the way), which auto mecanism weren't great, but whose blade were on par with Spyderco stuff, seriously. Actually I've seen some Magnum, Kalashnikov, "Böker+" which were better then some of the more expensive Böker Solingen stuff, or at least were sharper.

Recently Böker has rebranded most of the "good" magnum stuff in their new "Böker+" brand (see subcom or Trance), or firearm makers licence (Kalashnikov mostly, I think HK stuff is made in Germany...).

I'd recommande AK74 auto, Subcom or Trance.

I'm not looking for the best. Just something decent for a work/carry knife. I have several real nice folders, but none i want to subject to the work I do. Thinking this one:

I've never seen that knife, but if the price is right it looks good. I have a lot of knives I like to look at but I wouldn't use them for work. Go Buck.

I just received a Boker Catalog and they have something for everyone's price.

The one your are thinking about (in th pic) is the YA100 Jaguar according to the description in the catalog, the handle is a combination of G-10 and rosewood,a 440 stainless steel blade, and only $18.95.

I honestly have never bought one of Boker's magnum line of knives but their stylish looks, exotic materials, and attractively low prices, which are around the retail price range of $10 - 25. Make them extremely attractive bargain But I am cautious doubtful of quality.
