How good is Artisan Cutlery’s D2 blades?

I recently bought the Artisan cutlery Tradition folder. It seems to be solid and well made, but I am curious about the quality of their D2 blades since they fall into the budget knife category. If anyone has experience with Artisan Cutlery’s D2, please let me know how it holds up.

I have this knife too. I really like the handle ergonomics. I plan on getting the 3-inch version too.

As far as I can tell, the edge-holding is as good as it should be.

I also have a bunch of other Chinese knives with D2 blade steel. (Bestech, Tuya, Steel Will, Bastion.)

The main thing to watch out for is keeping the blades clean as D2 only has about 12–13 percent chromium and it is mainly as carbides.

Not free chromium for stain resistance.
