I posted this in the General Forum but I thought a heads up might be in order here as well...

I love the show How It's Made and now they are doing a segment on Case knives. Whoo Hoooo...

Case fans: tune into the Science Channel this Friday at 9:00 PM to see how Case knives are made from inside the Case factory in an ALL-NEW episode of the HOW IT'S MADE television series!

Thanks for the heads up. I sure hope it is on Discovery. (Science Channel is not carried here. Must be too technical for the folks who live in the area.) ;).

I also don't have the Science Channel. I'm sure it will be on the Discovery Channel, it's just a matter of when...

I love that show, but I don't get the science channel either. I'll have to wait for the rerun on discovery.

One of my favorite shows! Thanks for the heads up. Fortunately Verizon Fios has both the Discovery and the Science Channel. Can't wait!

OK, I've seen it and now I want to buy a Case Knife.:D

I liked seeing the part on how they Sharpen the Blades at the Factory.

It was a very favorable, knife-friendly review. Too short for me, I could have spent a whole hour or more taking a video factory tour, but thought it was very well done for the format.

Would like to have known more about the dying process. And it was fun to watch the sparks fly on the grinder.

It was a great segment. I was suprised when they showed how they tempered the tang, the purple and blue tempering colors went 1/2 way up a blade they showed. joe

Very short; about 5 to 6 minutes. The last part was a craftsman freehanding the final edge with a big belt sander. I connected some of my sharper factory edge Case knives to this artist. This darn show made me want to buy more Case knives.

It would have been nice if they could have done a half hour or so...
Still good to watch though.

The part on Case may have been short, but it worked.

As I said to the Wife this morning, "after seeing that show, you know we have to go and see the Case Factory this year".

(Standing on my soap box now):)

I also after seeing other USA Knife companies fold, I have been buying More USA made Bucks, And have been buying even More Case Knives and Queen.

I vote with my Dollars, And I think it is really important that we as Buyers of Knives to do all that we can to Support our Made In USA Knife Companies before they are all gone.
IMHO

Don't let them go the way of USA Made Toothpicks for example.

You can catch it again today. It was showing about every 3 hours last night. Just wish they had spent a little more time with it, but it was still fun to watch.
