How many Eschatons produced?

I thought the Eschaton was limited to a single, 700-run limited edition run. But I just saw an Eschaton sell on eBay that was part of a 500-knife run.

Can you tell me how many were produced? Were the two runs of the same knife?

Thanks.

Was the ebay model the blue and grey titanium model?

I believe the titanium model had a run of 500 and the carbon fiber model was a run of 700.

For mass production, there're two versions of limited edition Eschaton.
Item #:719A - Eschaton Limited Edition : 500 PCS (6AL4V Titanium)
Item #:719B - Eschaton Limited Edition : 700 PCS (6AL4V Titanium Inlay Carbon Fiber)
But we don't have an official shop on eBay,it's suggested to order any WE products from our officail dealers that listed on our website.

Why are there fake Eschatons on the market?

I rarely see one come up for sale as they are tightly held onto by the collectors.

It's probably more about warranty service than them warning of counterfeits. Never seen a counterfeit WE, at least not yet, and I'm guessing their status and nationality puts them in a pretty good place to make copying them feel like an unattractive gamble. I think it's just because most companies today have a warranty process that almost always involves returning the knife to the dealer and going from there, and WE is no exception.

Eschatons would be a major challenge to counterfeit -- at least well. I have a 719B, and the fit and finish are incredibly good. The machining is intricate and complex, and the blade just falls shut. It's an amazingly good knife from just about every aspect.
