How tight should micarta scales on a BK knife be tightened?

How tight should one put micarta scales on a Becker?

Finger Tight?

Tighter than finger Tight?

Manly Man in a Mannerish Manly Tight with out super tight tighten down?

Hard as one can Tight?

A specific Inch Pounds Tight?
 
Finger tight using a allen wrench holding the short end. Or 55 ft pounds with a 1/2" breaker bar, what ever you prefer
 
I'll tighten as tight as I can get it with the short end of an allen wrench. Then I'll switch to the longer end and tighten an additional 1/8 turn.
 
I never use locktite on stuff like this.
I change scales like NASCAR tires.
Ive worn out several sets of scales on my BK9

Thanks people! I went with tight and a little past tight turn. I don't have a foot/pound torque wrench around right now for JD Miller's second choice.
 
With a quantitative response in either foot/pound, inch pounds or Newton meters, tighter, but not too much tighter, than finger tight would work.

DO NOT use the old cranked real tight until it turns real easy then back off a quarter turn method!
