How to clear mailbox?

Can someone explain how to delete viewed messages in mailbox..I'm full and I need to make room. Thank you

From the main conversation screen, tick the box next to any you'd like to remove. A bar will pop up (on desktop, it's at the very bottom and it's easy to miss) with options; choose "Leave Conversations."

You can also do it from any individual conversation thread. Just click "Leave" at the top.

Either way, you can leave and accept future messages or leave and automatically block future messages. If you want to save a conversation on your hard drive, there's an export function for that.
 
If only I had a Kindle. I appreciate you attempt to assist, but this is not really helping. I am not seeing anything that even looks similar in my Windows browser.

The options jlauffer and I described should appear in any browser/etc., they just might look slightly different.

If for some reason you don't see check boxes on the main conversation screen, just open an individual conversation and look for the "Leave" option.
 
I'm not sure that I know what you mean by "main conversation screen". All that I know is that when I get a message alert, I click up in the corner either on the envelope or the bell, read it and reply. I have no idea what the main convo screen is and I find nothing with that name or those labels anywhere that I look. I appreciate you assist, but I remember the last time that I had to do this it was equally difficult, only I finally figured it out. This time? Not so much...

Click the Envelope in the upper right between your username and the bell. Then click "Show all". This will get to you to the page they are referring as the "main conversation screen".

When you're there, the first screen shot from jlauffer will apply. Check off the conversations you want to delete, go to "Choose action", select "leave conversation" and then hit go.

You will then have two options to delete. The first is to delete but be able to receive future messages from the other party for this convo. The second is to delete but not receive future messages from the same conversation.
 
Thank you... That's much more clear and I appreciate it. Unfortunately, it came just a few minutes too late. I used the brute force approach of throwing the computer on the ground and then stomping on it. That worked too. ;)
