New guy here. I have been googling for the answer for the past couple hours, and getting nowhere. I came across this site, and decided to ask here.
Usually, I'm pretty good at ferreting out info, but not so much on this on.
Just inherited this knife today, and wanted to learn about it. Came in a retail box with a sheath, along with a sharpener with it's own sheath.
I know that there are many different tang marks. They range from the plain marking of Kersaw 1050/Japan, and Oregon, Lake Oswego, Kai, Field Folder, maybe more, idk.
Is there a correlation between these name changes, and production time line?
Mine is plain jane. On one side of the tang it says 1050 Japan. On the other side it says Kershaw. Built like a tank, for sure. Can anybody estimate the year of production of my knife?
Thanks.
