I bought a small sheet of titanium off of ebay, it's 0.054" thick and
about a 4"x5.25" sqaure. It is definetly not flat. My intended purpous
was to use it as a liner for a folder project. Any infomation on how to
flatten it out would be appreciated.

Thanks, Wyatt

I press it in an arbor press, using 2 pieces of round stock on the ends. Press the high point down and keep checking and pressing until it gets straight. It resists changing, so you have to persuade it. You could do the same thing in a vice, but then you have to hold it so it doesn't drop through. I saw this in Bob Terzuola's book.

I had to do that at work. we where building a radiation box for someone and the meterial that was shiped to us was bend badley. thay where sheets of 3/8" x 14" x 21" brass and some of the where out of flatness by .200 and we had to hold a flatness tolerance of .010. lets just say that was hell on earth for a few weeks. bend it a little then go check it on the CMM and back to bending. Have fun as i have had mine :D

Thanks for the advise I'll give it a try but I think honestly I'll
probably make it wavy instead of just cuved up towards the
end. I'll take it slow and see what I come up with though.

Thanks for the repies, Wyatt:)
