how to remove ferric chloride stains from crocs

so, uh, i was etching some damascus and i might have spilled some ferric chloride on my dad’s crocs. he really likes them and i don’t want to ruin them, please help
 
Chelating with oxalic acid seems to be the best solution to your problem. There are commercial products that are advertised specifically to remove iron stains. Or if you have a good reducing agent to convert the Fe3+ to Fe2+.

 
Buy him these. He'll forget about those old ones instantly.

Crocs are inexpensive and commonly available. You could replace them and he would have a pair for casual wear and a pair for Sunday-go-to-meeting.
