1986 TO PRESENT VARIATIONS:
• 1986 TO PRESENT VARIATIONS:
• Dots no longer used in the model number of the tang stamp. Rather, a year mark is used after the model number which indicates the year of manufacture. The MAIN exception is for the year 2000, when the model number was completely left off the tang stamp, and an anvil was put in its place. There are some issues were due to differing reasons that a year mark does NOT show on the blade and even one were the year mark is on the reverse side of the blade on a 110 issue

in 1994 the handle inlays on Production Models was
changed to epoxy impregnated, stained and lamented “OBECHE “..
some solid woods were used on custom orders and limited editions.

For some Wall Mart issues the tang stamp is not stright line
rather it is curved lettering on top and bottom lines
this curved style is also used on Buck Collectors Club editions

edit :
Buck Knives has plans in the future on using Laser Engraved
tang markings to improve the strength of the blade.
