I believe it was more of a novelty thing. Jim Parker had always heard stories of older folk having Case knives with 3 X's on them. So when he did the classic series he decided to do a run of them on 3 different patterns to bring it to life. So maybe they were triple tested?

I was thinking that LOL. Last 2 letters are going to give me trouble. I need a yellow delrin & a zebra woodDoes anyone else suddenly feel compelled to buy knives just to fill in letters you realize you don't have?
