Hows the Buck 55 compared to the 501 or even the 112?

I looked on the Buck website and you can't get a custom 55 made, but the 501 and 112 you can.
How is the 55 even though it's not a custom?

I don't see the 112 on there (custom shop offering). Are you sure you don't mean the 110?

I thought one could get a custom 112, but you're right, it's not on there.
Well the 110 is too much knife for me, so I was looking at the 55, 112, and 501.

The 55 is about the same size as a 503, which you can get from the custom shop. Clip point vs. drop point, brass vs. nickel silver.

If you go to Buck's website you can see the specs on both knives. The 501 is 3.75" closed and 3oz. The 55 is 3 3/8" closed and 2.2oz

I own a 55, 110, and a 500, which is the same length as the 112 with a clip point. I would say you would be totally totally satisfied with ANY of them.
55 is perfect in a pocket, 110 is perfect on a belt, never too much knife... and the 500, is JUST small enough for me to use it either way.... I think the 112 is too heavy for a pocket.

I'm going to try the 55. Now I have to find a reputable place to buy one online.
If anyone can recommend a few places and send me a message, I would appreciate it.

Here is a photo for you
