I just bought a Humvee brand knife and I'm impressed with its overall appearance, quality and feel in my hand. However, the package didn't say much about the knife. Anybody know what type of blade is it? 420ss? 440ss?

Here is a picture:

It is marketed by CampCo.

No ID of the alloy. Likely a Chinese alloy.

Some Chinese knives are well made. Some aren't. I'd work with it carefully until you are sure of yours.

Yeah like knarfeng said, I have had alot of good experiences with chinese made knives. Some are of amazing quality others will suck. That one is a kind of a look-alike to the dark ops stratofighter knife, which is often sold as a counterfeit in china. Chinese knives usually take the designs of more famous brand knives but are not made of the same materials. But if had to guess it is probably some kind of 420 steel, but alot of chinese knives use some steel like CR13MOV which many good brands such as Byrd use.

I was hoping that it was some kind of 440 variant because I saw the earlier models of Humvee knives made of 440. I hope my knife lasts. I bought it at uscav website.

Thanks for the input. :)

I'm not too into the way it looks, but I can say it seems like it would fit
the fingers very well with the cut outs.

It looks a lot like a darkops knife and they look alot like ExtremaRatio knives.........

The grip is actually comfortable. I would also like to mention that the knife stays in the pocket well because of the textured grips. It doesn't move at all. And the pocket clip is easy to work with. :)
