For God's sake, in which place is this one a blackout? I can't see it. Is there a more exact word instead of blackout? I need to know. I feel deceived.

not exactly sure what you are talking about as related to knives. A blackout is when there is no power.

Rich K.

For those that don't know, filtrum is on a search for a totally black knife. Hardware, blade, frame. No visible maker's mark.

The blackest knife.

Not black enough ? Hell, they did a good job of blackening the whole knife, no ? To go blacker, get this knife in an amazonian forest at midnight. This will be blackest than blacker !

All the hardware is silver and there's a bright logo on the blade.

filtrum wants a black knife.

Rustoleum high heat black will give you excellent light discipline and dramatically increase rust resistance. Not to mention stopping any corrosion that may have started in its tracks

How about something like this instead:

The only mark it has is on the clip, and it would be casually easy to get rid of that.

Your search is futile, just buy a danm knife and spray paint it already.

Btw there's only one 99% black knife that I know of which I had as a teenager.
The knife was a Frost Cutlery Aztec Warrior, it was pretty damn Decent for a frost cutlery and served me well for a coupel years.
The logo was stamped into the blade and not etched ...ect.
It's not great, but is the only one I'm aware of.

Yeah I don't understand, just find the knife you want and then get it painted black. You are just wasting time and energy otherwise

I thought my ZT Scavenger was all black until I just checked . The thumb stud and label are contrasting . I believe I can live with that . Pretty dang close !

Buy a knife and a can of vantablack paint, you'll have the most blacked out knife there is. (Just remember to wear gloves because I recall the stuff being hazardous).

I'm curious, does carbon fiber count as black in your book? Or is the fact that it's not solid black rule it out as not black?

The name Blackout kind of makes sense for that knife if you think of a power outage. Mostly black with visible bright spots here and there of the few with backup power. Maybe "Suburban Blackout" would've been more appropriate of a name.

Get yourself a knife made of obsidian painted in vantablack. That way as the paint wears it'll still be black underneath.
