I knew somebody would eventually make a real multitool with a slipjoint plier head, sadly I also knew that when they did it wouldn't be exactly what I had in mind.

Heres the Gerber dual force that is coming soon.

It's certainly not the classic slim rectangular multitool with traditional slipjoint pliers that I had in mind, bit I'm glad someone finally went for it and hope theres eventually a model introduced by leatherman or Gerber that I would buy.

Schrade USA made the Tough Tool with a slip joint plier head prior to it's demise. I'm pretty sure I still have mine🤔

That would be the Schrade Tough tool ST5E, and Craftsman professional 45471 apparently which I never heard of before.
I've had the Tough1, the Tough chip scissor based tool, I've seen their model that looks like a PST with corkscrew, and their Peterson vise grip tool.
I never knew about that one.

It looks like they did about 20 years ago what Gerber failed to do today, at least in my eyes.
I'm sure the way the Gerber folds more conventionally and less bulky probably outweighs everything for a lot of people.

Looks like some thing I might be interested in!!
Would be GREAT if Leatherman would do a version.. Only so much you can do with needle nose pliers..

That's it, I had to look it up online because I couldn't locate mine at the moment. Now I'm inspired to find it.

It would be nice.
And since Gerber turns out not to be first one to have done this, theres no reason it shouldn't be okay to make one now.
Sure they'd be doing it because Gerber did and some people may think they're stealing a a design from Gerber or something, but obviously it's not their design.

My oh my, I found the ST5E on-line:oops::oops::oops: I had no idea they were that scarce and spendy!!! I understand they were long gone but I figured there were tens of thousands made🤔
