So I have just purchased a PVD coated blade olamic swish. And I’m super curious if any of you out there know of any tricks to kind of clean a PVD coated blade ? Any advice would be very appreciated :)

Try lighter fluid or really most any petroleum based products

If you plan to use it for cutting food/food prep, then just use some warm soapy water (i.e. Dawn).

I own a Swish with a PVD coated blade, and I carry and use it (and thus need to clean it all the time). I must be missing something, why do you need to do anything special to clean it?

However you clean them, they're great knives. I've somehow piled up three of them, but this one gets the most carry time by far:

I work at Costco and I cut cardboard and sometime marks or glue for tape ect mark up the PVD coating just curious if there is some kinda special trick obviously other then water and soap to clean it

Acetone for me hasn't harmed any non-paint coatings, and it cleans everything but the coating off. It's worked perfectly for Benchmade BK coating (which I've read is similar to Cerakote), DLC, Tungsten PVD, and a cheaper ceramic type coating.

Acetone for tape gunk, then a light coat of oil to make the coating look consistent again

Goo Gone or similar citrus based products work great for removing tape and sticker residue. My friend had another car rub up against his car and it left a different color paint on his car, we used goo gone to remove the offenders paint without harming my friends paint.
