I just moved and haven't found a decent camera, so let me start off with this: (watch the video)

This is what I saw that intrigued me enough to contact the company with an offer to review the knife. They agreed, and after a wait I finally got my cardsharp. I hope for their sake this is because they are flying off the shelves. Because...well, this knife is pretty neat. It is not a work knife. It is not a particularly sturdy knife, but it is neat as all hell, and, as opposed to other 'credit card knives', it is thin enough that you can actually slip it in your wallet. The blade was sharp enough and the mechanism is neat.

I think this knife retails for around $20, and it is worth that for the novelty. The fact that it is actually a useable and well designed knife is icing on the cake. It is not a survival knife. It won't cut a load of kindling. But if you are the kind of knife freak who always needs a backup for their backup...well, this is a pretty slick solution to the problem.

I will post my crappy cell phone pics below. I wish I could do better, but I don't want to make the company wait any longer since they were kind enough to give me a knife.

Bottom line, this is a novelty knife that can actually do a little work. It ain't gonna save you if the zombies come, but it is a neat gadget and I could see myself giving it to a fellow knife enthusiast. It is an undeniably cool design and fun to play with. Below, you will find my crappy pics, but I urge you to seek out your own. If I had access to a decent camera, I would do it justice. Instead, look it up and make your mind up for yourself. If you want a work knife, this is not your knife. If you want a cool gadget or a backup knife...well, this is the coolest one I've found.

I spend most of my time here in the traditional forum, and this is about as untraditional as you can get. It will go in my wallet. I may never use it because I usually have a few knives on me. But I will happily blow a knife-nut's mind with it. And, should I lose the knives in my pocket, it is nice to know I have a backup.

There are better knives for the money, but they don't have the 007 style of the cardsharp.

when I first saw the concept video about a yr ago I was blown away. I still find it pretty cool, but the knife snob in me wishes for something more stable. like carbon fiber for the plastic bits, and a decent blade steel. with something so thin, itll make a hell of a slicer.
