On the latest episode of 24, Jack Bauer prominently holds out a knife that appears to be assisted opening. Just curious if anyone is wise enough to identify it.

i don't dig recurves, but other then that i like the knife. maybe the maker does other blades styles and i can check them out.

Need to catch up on the latest episodes... that said, pivot looks like the pivots on some of the SOG assists. In prior seasons he mostly used Benchmades, however. And a Microtech Halo he appropriated from a bad guy in season 1. ;)

Man! I couldn't get over that face lol

I wanted to post a reply a few minutes ago but ended up just laughing at the pic :D

Right?! Jack has found not only the grail knife of his dreams, but the literal Holy Grail. :D

Which Benchmades has Jack used in the past? I just remember the Microtech he used during the Senator Heller hostage rescue.

Yeah the Microtech was very prominent in the rescue scene, he gave it to Audrey...

It would take me awhile to go through and compile a whole list, and I'd have to double check some scenes to be abso-tively sure.. But off the top of my head (and don't quote me here, memory may not be serving correct) he uses one in season 5 (he has the Halo there too, but he must've had another knife on him).

Spoilers below for anyone who cares...

When Jack has to hijack the plane in season 5 because he wants to find out who on board is working with Henderson, I think the knife he uses to cut the (aleron cables?) and sort of "take over" the plane from the baggage compartment is a Benchmade, but it's hard to make out the model. Later on the submarine he has to silently stab a guy in the neck, also a Benchmade A/O I think (likely the same one since it is the same day).

Also in season 5, when CTU is hit with the nerve gas, he uses the knife to take the screws off of a vent plate. Again, I can't be sure this is a BM knife but it sure looks like one.

I can't remember which season, but it might be season 6, Jack needs to get into a house in a suburban area. He lifts a latch on a gate with a knife that looks like a Benchmade. Again, not sure if this is the correct season. i remember the scene but not which season that is. I'll give it more thought because I'm sure I've seen more in the series in total, he used knives quite a bit.

Holy crap I don't even remember most of those scenes you described and I've seen all but season one (which I have on box set waiting for viewing!). I gotta look at the whole series again once I've watched Season1.

I know, I've been meaning to rewatch some of my favorites. The first episode of season 5 when Jack comes to Chloe's rescue is just epic.

I just watched season 1 a few weeks back. I'd seen most of it in bits and pieces but it was the one season that was pretty fragmented for me so I thought it was high time.

I purposely avoided watching the entire run of 24, so i can pick up the box set and watch it all in generous servings on weekends (3-4 episodes per day).

Also in season 4, when Jack is rescued later in the season, he uses a knife to stab an attacker... this may have been the Halo, but if I remember correctly, it was a side opening A/O knife, looked like aSOG of some sort.

Hat's off to you sir.

I didn't get into it til around the time season 6 was airing honestly. Then one day my siblings and parents decided to try it and we got hooked.

Hm, if there is a spoiler tag (I suppose there is) I'll have to start using it for your benefit, I don't want to ruin anything for you.

Not to worry RL, I tend to like the spoiler type research, as I call it. Funny because a few family members started watching Justified the same way. I was talking with a cousin about it, and he had not seen it so he decided to get it on Netflix. He's completely addicted to Justified, Homeland, 24, and a few others. He's hoping for additional seasons of Hannibal. :D

I love Mads Mikkelsen's work in general and am way into Hannibal!

I just got into Justified this year! Amazon Prime offered several seasons for free and I decided I try it, I fell in love with it! It was a way more amazing show than I could have imagined.

Just wish I looked as good in a cowboy hat. ;)

Justified = amazing
Sons of Anarchy = another great show on Netflix, lots of knives especially kabars
sopranos is on amazon prime as well, watch it!
