In-Depth Steel Info

I wasn't totally sure where to put this, but this seems to be a good place to ask.

I know quite a bit about steels, the properties of different steels, some about the components of steel, a little about heat treat, etc.

However, I would love some more info on carbide formation, grain structure, heat and cryo treats, edge geometry (I know this is not strictly steel info), etc.

If you know any pertinent links or threads, please post them. It would be most appreciated.

Thanks! :D

ttt,

I'm interested if anyone has the info too. Paul Bos gave me the names of two books he read when he was starting out (thanks Paul, you're awesome) and I will get the names tomorrow at work. They were about heat treating and would probably have the info you are looking for.

hope someone has a link!
