RE: S.A.K Victorinox ( Swiss Army Officer Automatic watch )

I just have this watch over the Christmas as a Present.

Description :Swiss Army Officer Automatic in stainless steel,
It has both Date and Day. In the back it has see though glass
inside it said 25 jewels swiss made , outside the glass it said
water resistant to 330 feet and ( incabloc , What does that
mean ? ).
I have look into SAK Web site the information they provided is
basically already in the watch . I interested to what's the
moments of this watch ? How's reliable it is ? Accuracy ?
The watch is looking pretty nice , and has date and day which
I liked a lot. So far accuracy is not too good. It is about
20 second behind in about 4 days, I set it on Christmas Night.
I understand it's not a battery watch but you know ;) .
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I got the automatic officer's watch as a Christmas present a couple of years ago. Mine is accurate to about 3 seconds a day judging by the fact that it's about a minute and a half off by the end of a month. Actually, from what I've seen, that's pretty good for a mechanical movement. Check timezone.com for comparisons but I think you'll find it's pretty good. Mechanical watches are never as accurate as even a cheap quartz watch so if you're looking for accuracy within a few seconds a month you might as well trade it in.(Not intended as a flame, just a thought.) One note though, the watch can be adjusted by a jeweler but I don't know how much more accurate that they can get it.

The other nice thing feature of that watch, as compared to most other watches, and especially as compared to other SAK watches, is that it has a sapphire crystal. This means that it is considerably more scratch-resistant than the mineral crystal found on most watches, including almost all other Victorinox watches. A watch I've had and worn for more than 4 years, has not shown one scratch on its sapphire crystal.

Thanks for these informations guys. I am curious to know what's
type of movement/caliber inside this watch?. I'm not be able to get
this information though S.A.K Web site. Thank you in advanced.

I don't know what the movement is but an old watch guy told me that it is a good one. I have never had a super accurate mechanical, however any watch that doesn't wake up with a dead battery is accurate enough for me. Just set it once a week and you'll be on time. It's a heck of a good watch. You won't scratch the crystal but if you drop it on a hard surface it will shatter. To do that it has to be dropped fairly hard.
