Thanks for any help. I saw an Imperial fish knife at a flea market and it reminded me of when I was a kid and you could pick one up at most any gas station for 1.29 or so. I had several fish knives and so I bought a few. One was not an imperial it was a Kabar with the hook shapener. But I wanted the Imperial. I have bought two one has the fish scale blade and the knife the other is the same shape but has two blades. One is made in Ireland. I am not famillar with these being made in Ireland. All the ones I have ever had were made in USA. What is the history of the ones made in Ireland? Are they worth less then ones made in the USA, are they less collectible? These seem to have quite a following on eBay. They sell with multiple bids on eBay if they are in good condition. Thanks for any help.

The two blade fish style knife.

Ireland was once a source of manufacturing for inexpensive knives, just like Japan, and then China.

From what I've read on Bladeforums, Imperial had knives made in Ireland between 1988 and 2004. This information was attributed to Bernard Levine. And although Mr. Levine is a reliable source, I can't say for sure if the person quoting him is correct.

I can't speak to the value of your knife, because you don't have the proper level of membership to ask about value. But between Google and Ebay, you should be able to get an idea :) .
