Hello all:

I inherited a never used Benchmade ATS-34 with a fully serrated edge. Can someone tell me a little about this knife ? Like a dummy a threw away the box but the knife has never been used, I was told it was more of a collector item than a daily use item (it's a rather large knife) which is why I am thinking about selling however I haven't made up my mind - wanted to get more info about this beauty before I decide. Thanks in advance for all the help.

Here is a pic of the actual knife.

Yup, you can't ask about value with your membership. Pony up the $30 bucks and sell the knife here! It will be close to the cost of the fees you pay on the bay to sell it! That is an AFCK. Actual pics of your knife would be better. If it is that mint you have quite a nice knife. Also consider asking this in the BM subforum, except no money talk until you go gold :)

Thanks for the tips, finally figured out how to get a pic of my knife on the post. I'm not really looking to sell at this time, only to figure out if it's worth keeping or going to someone who is more a knife enthusiast.

Still, I think it would be good form, and an act of respect for this forum if you edited out any request for information regarding the dollar value of the knife. It would show that you care about following the rules here. No member who follows the rules of this forum is going to give you any kind of dollar value for that knife, whatever your intentions are. Thems the rules.

As for the knife, while some might hold it as a collectors piece, many people do use their full-sized AFCK's. I've owned 5, I still own a few. One of them I used heavily as a work knife.

Welcome to Bladeforums :)

Benchmade AFCK
ATS-34 is the steel type of the blade, not model number.
