Have any of you CR owners ever used Inox-M3 lubricant? It is a product made in Australia.

Negative for me. I have tried several different lubes but keep going back to the CRK stuff...

I only use the CRK lube that comes with them. Works great every time. If you run out of CRK lube, just buy another CRK. :)

The CRK lube is flourinated grease. I looked all over and couldn't find it in stores. CRM charges 25$ for that little tiny bit they sell you. Well I found out later flourinated grease can be bought at bicycle specialty shops. It is the same stuff exactly and WAY cheaper.

Personally I prefer Benchmade Blu Lube

The huge bottles of flourinated grease from the bike stores are literally the same thing and way cheaper. 25$ was what I have seen several canadian sources charging. Sorry I didn't realize it was only 8 on CR's website.

Personally I find the CR recommended grease attracts dirt and lint. All oils will. I think they have products like tuff glide that lubricate without being wet and so don't attract particles in the same way.

Lape its actually not. There was a thread a week or two ago about this. I'll try to dig it up.

ETA:

No. It is known that the CRK grease is 'Christolube', which is a brand name. The 'Chris' in Christolube is just a happy coincidence. This is a much higher spec, or at least more expensive product made specifically by this small company. The Finish Line grease does not contain the same types of "Flouro", with Finish Line before being DuPont Teflon (PTFE), and Christolube also containing PFPE.

There is a thread somewhere on this forum where the exact part-number of Christolube is discussed that you may be able to search out. There's a few different viscosities. What I recall, is that when you do the math, those little tubes of CRK-branded Chrostolube are actually reasonably priced, so there's not much reason to go directly to the source.

Here's some links you can browse:

Whilst I have half a dozen cans of Inox around the place and use it on almost everything including the rest of my knives, I've never used it on a CRK, I feel like CRKs unique action and feel is due to it's pairing with the fluorinated grease and don't want to change that :).

BTW there is a Inox mx3 food grade formulation which has very good qualities and works well on my other knives.

I would stick to the CRK lube.

I actually like it so much that I use it on all of my knives (non CRK's)
