The lansky will be infinitely superior. That Benchmade one is just a carbide scaper, it will tear the edge off your knife and put a thick 60 deg angle on it. The best small sharpener IMHO is a small stone.

It's the same as any $3 carbide V-sharpener. It certainly takes no guessing to use, but it will remove alot more metal than needed while only achieving a rough, working edge.

If you look at Benchmade's description of the product, the sharpener is intended for emergency use.

edit: sandpaper and a binder clip guide makes an affordable option. Alot of people here seem to recommend the sandpaper and mousepad method for convex edges and scrap leather/cardboard for strop. I use my belt or backside of my old wallet for stropping in the field.

I have the mini version on my keychain. It works pretty good if your knife is really dull. It's really small and portable which is awesome.

Is this simple sharpmaker recommended only for the BYRD knives ?
Or it will work on S30V blades too ?

All knives, all steels.

The ceramic version is called the Golden Stone and is a Spyderco product, but it is quite a bit more expensive.

Thanks for the tips Sal !
What's the difference between the DUCKFOOT and the SPYDERCO TRIANGLE SHARPMAKER then ??
