is Buck doing dealer exclusives? also smkw python 110 run knife

The exclusive ones I've seen have been very limited # runs.

But then I've also seen s45vn 110 slims that were on Buck's website later be referred to as an exclusive at a retailer.
Maybe they bought them all.

Buck makes some nice stuff, but I've grown to not believe everything they claim when it comes to marketing.

Buck still seems to do event knives, not quite the same as SFO's. NRA convention, President's Tour, Bourbon & Blades event etc....
Oakville MO to Sevierville TN is 530 miles, a long way to add a nice knife to my collection. I wonder if any will be available on line.
Given the cost of gas it would be cheaper to just pay the markup price of the inevitable resellers on eBay. :(

ive gotten the sherheard hills and the B&B knives by calling them during the event. no extra cost outside of shipping

I received that email today and looked it over on their website. I really like Python Micarta and have a couple of knives with it.

But, I would prefer this one to have nickel instead of brass. It is a very attractive knife-even if it has brass!!

Yes! That dude came up with the best combinations. His 104 with that burlap Micarta, brown leather bushcraft style sheath, uncoated blade, and no Vanadium carbide steel is the best 104 EVER.

the d2 one? that one was decided on votes here as a forum knife. it was kinda ironic...bunch voted for the d2 steel and then didn't buy one. he had that inventory sitting forever right until he closed the business....he still had inventory of those d2 104s. took him a long time to get rid of all of those.

I bought 3 of them.
Gave 2 away, but kept the sheaths.
