Is nano oil worth $18 dollars for the syringe?

I'm not familiar with that product, but no lubricant is worth $18 for a small syringe IMO.

I'd just buy some Lubriplate, auto grease or Mobil 1.

I have used it and as far as I'm concerned, its snake oil. Any drug store sewing machine oil works as good as Nano Oil. it works OK for a few days but then attracts dust like a magnet and gums up.
I've been using Go-juice from ALG Defense for close to a year now and have now intention of switching. Bio synthetic oil made for guns, but very light bodied. Doesnt gum up and lasts quite awhile. Like anything in your pockets . eventually you need to clean the knife and one drop on the pivot shaft is all it takes.

I agree that nano oil is overpriced. It does not seem to me to function better than tuf-glide or CRK grease, but then CRK grease is even more expensive.

No.
Get on the big river and get an applicator bottle with a fine hypo tip like this.
This one is so fine it only works with super light oil like my Starrett Instrument oil (which suits me just fine). At work, in my side apron pocket in plastic holders so they don't tip over I have two similar applicator bottles but with a bit larger diameter tips. These larger tip bottles can be had at woodworking supplies and are used for applying glue to tiny joints. In one I have machine oil that is about 20wt and in the other I have WD-40 (when I need something with some solvent in it to free up gummed up mechanisms). These last two bottles dump oil out a little too fast for a pocket knife pivot though.

I like the fine tip one I mentioned first because it takes a bit for a full drop to get through the tube and that is just right ;).
This bottle goes for about six bucks and that might be for more than one; depends on the mood of the vendor.

I second the Go-Juice you get 4 oz for 11.50 and all you need to get extra is a needle oilier bottle off ebay,Go-Juice is the slipperiest oil you are going to find if that's what you want.

It is a really thin oil and you only need 1 or 2 drops down each side of the knife and your done,it is also a plant based oil and it doesn't build up in your knife either and you just use soap and water on your knife under a running tap to clean the knife and get rid of any old oil.

I've been using mineral oil. What is a good inexpensive lube for mechanisms?

I use the synthetic Hoppes 9 and it’s my old favorite. love it. Quick release is excellent, so is Super Lube with PTFE..

It double posted and wasn’t sure how to delete this.
you can click on "Report" at the bottom of the post after you post it and ask a Moderator to remove it but most of us just select all of our duplicate post and then type a period " . " in place of the post and leave it at that.

Daiwa reel oil, sewing machine oil, gun oil, tri-flow lube, and pretty much any light oil works.

I currently am using Nano and KPL and they both work. But, I can’t honestly say that they are any better than any other generic light viscosity oil

I'm going to ditto folks who say Mobil1, BreakFree CLP and Rem Oil. All great products, none of them expensive. Especially Mobil1 - you can get a quart of it that will last essentially forever and you can use it on knives, guns, and all kinds of other metal-on-metal places.

No. I was given a bottle for free. All the other suggestions work as well or better. I am currently using mineral oil because I use my folders for food prep.
