Yep you are doomed!! Above posts all agree and count me in. Kind of a meager collection for me but recently got started. All the available makes and models are fascinating and will grab your attention. At least a few for EDC with manual, spring assist, or auto. Then you will need fixed blades for different applications like camping and bushcrafting. Plus the different blade shapes like tanto, clip point, or drop point. Then consider all the different STEELS!! You will be very busy like the rest of us.

You can always wean your self on to flashlights for a couple weeks to hold you over before you fall back off the wagon.

If money gets tight: you can live off the condiment supplies at your local fast-fooderies for at least a couple of weeks...

There’s a vaccine for it, but from experience, it only works against gas station’s and other cheap knives. The good knives are vaccine resistant.
 
Your out of control addiction makes the fact that (it's never a simple online order for me) sound a little better, could be a good thing after all:D

Just kidding. It can get out of hand for sure with such a wide range to choose from and easy online access. The researching/ reviews etc. Is a lot of fun too. I think I will concentrate on a particular collection as a previous post suggested and see how it goes 😀

Just think about the time lost not having a good cutting tool to enjoy. The cure is to make up for lost time and build an arsenal of cutting tools that will serve you well and bring a smile to your face.
Most of all, have fun and be patient. Welcome to the madness and don’t hesitate to show off your knives. That’s why we’re here.
