The width lets me keep the scalloping shallower vs a smaller diameter. I have a lot of customers that love these handles.Lol!
I've made scalloped knife handles before, but never that aggressive, with so few scallops. The ones I made I thought were quite comfortable.
That one does look painful...
Not here, these are more shallow than typical as a result of using a larger wheel than most. I do some even larger and it works great. Its the little 1/2" dremel wheel that makes for a harsh texture.I call it "hot spots out the wazoo".
