Is this a banned topic: game fowl gaffs?

Cockfighting is legal here in the Philippines and game cocks are armed with sharp gaffs. Since I brag a lot about knives, gamers are now looking to me for advice. I browsed some relevant fora and I notice gamers aren't very "keen" about blade steels (that's just me, so pardon.)

Not sure about banned, but likely distasteful to most members here. Can't imagine the steel matters at all, mild steel is probably best since it is easy to work with.

Use whatever metal you can find as long as the chickens are dead and cooked first

I've been to a few fights in the late 90's. Long knife (2"-3"), short knife (1"-2") and gaff (1/8" rod 2") fights.
Knives seemed to be stainless but they could have been just polished.
Those guys in the pits are pretty gnarly.

This is too far outside knives. More than happy to discuss knives you and I would carry. The chickens need their own forum to discuss their carry preferences.
