Ivanko Super Gripper

This is a grip training device similar in intention to the Captains of Crush grippers from Ironmind but it has the advantage of a much wider range of resistance settings. Details can be read here :

If the end goal is to develop high levels of crushing strength, say in the 280 lbs class, then yes. The variable settings are critical, the CoC grippers make too large a jump in force. I could for example play with the #1, do repeated sets of 35+ with it and yet not do reps with the #2.

However, there are a lot of grip masters who strongly disagree with me and prefer the CoC grippers. Most of them prefer heavy negatives and holds and thus the large differences between the CoC grippers are not that big of a disadvantage.

Also where can you order an Ivanko?

Lots of places have them, a simple search will turn up a dozen or so.

The last setting on the Ivanko is about 345 lbs. As a very loose guess I would say it will take at the least about 2 years for me to hit that mark. I'll drop you an email then.

I should be able to get you the #2 CoC in a week or two as a friend is getting an Ivanko and he wants to be able to use the #2 CoC to benchmark it. I also have a friend who might be able to make a similar product to the Ivanko but modified in several ways to make it easier to use as well as more accurately determine the force settings. If that pans out I'll drop you an email.
