I like to do a yearly giveaway Super Bowl week to ease the pain of my beloved Dallas Cowboys not making it again but I had another thought. Since I was going to go to two knife shows I thought I would pick up a knife from each to giveaway. Racked my brain on a popular pattern that most liked and landed on a stockman. Who doesn’t love a nice stockman? Sorry for the bad pictures. I will update with better pictures.

Wanted to thank everyone for another great year and this is my small token to say thank you. I’ve met so many great people here and have built lifelong friendships. Bladeforums has become a very important part of my life and you fine people are the reason. Knives is what brought me here but the people is why I stayed.

Rules:

1. Be a regular contributing member of the “Porch”

2. Let’s go with 50 post in the traditionals section. Honor system on this one. I will not be policing this.

3. Be a paying member with a basic membership. If you don’t have one you can still enter and I will cover the basic membership as a gift to you.

4. To enter all you have to do is state which lot you want. Your choices are A, B, or A&B. Also for fun, tell everyone what one of your forever knives is that you would never get rid of under any circumstances. Photos are highly encouraged but not required. You can also enter for others as well. If 10 people enter for John Doe….he gets 10 entries.

5. Open to all worldwide where it is legal to ship. Met too many fine people abroad to keep them out.

6. You can only win one lot.

7. Everything will be covered by me to include shipping. If it gets lost in the mail we will just chalk it up to bad luck 🤷.

The Giveaway will end Wednesday 30 April @ 9am Central time. I will draw from a hat like I always do.

Now the fun part. The stuff!!!!!!

Thank you for your participation and I’m looking forward to another year.

Paul

Here are two of my forever knives. Small Case fixed blade that I inherited two years ago. It belonged to my Grandfather and I was told that he carried it through WW2. After he got back he put it away and used a similar knife for his everyday belt hanger. The dates on the tang stamp line up with the time frame. He was a wonderful man and I do miss him dearly.

Next is my HHB. This is a forever knife for sure. It means the world to me that I get the privilege to be the Guardian of this fine knife. Jack has become a great friend and the Guardians thread is where I spend the majority of my time. This knife makes a great everyday knife but the friendships it reminds me of is what make it special. It is also my son’s favorite knife and he has already put his dibs on it 😀.

Great stuff mate and thanks for another sweet GAW.

I'm a sucker for a sowbelly so I'll go in for A if I may.

I was at work today and hoping to take a nice pic at home. Alas kids!
I’ll recycle this photo, it’s a few more than 3 but these knives I could never part with. If I had to limit it to one it would easily be Ellie’s knife by Sean Yaw.
No2 and 3 maybe Cosimo and mammoth Fontenille Pataud. Bunny would be breathing hot down their neck and could pip one.

Not entering as I already have a couple of gifts from you my friend- I will post when the knives arrives- safely i hope!

Well done brother and good luck everyone who enters!

Im not in, but its a great GAW & super kind of you!! That Winchester is one my absolute all-time favorite knives. The case stockman is a beauty too.

Very cool Paul, not an entry.
Forever knife?
The wife always says why don't you narrow down to a couple 🥺 crazy talk I know!
Anyway my answer is, even just keeping the knives that have been gifted to me. I couldn't narrow it down to at least a dozen.
They are my Forever knives!

Very nice GAW, I’m in for Lot B. Pictured are three knives I would NEVER get rid of: Buck 301 Stockman, Christmas gift from my Grandma, December 1972. Buck 105 Pathfinder, first quality field knife, APG MD Post Exchange, 1976. First Two-Dot Buck 110 Folding Hunter - forgot when, but from a pawn shop in New Bern NC. Thank you for the chance at some great knife stuff. OH

Holy smokes, Jack. Got you in.

Lots A&B. The 3 knives are slip joints my dad left me. One Kent and two GECs (wonder how he got those?).

tell everyone your three forever knives that you would never get rid of under any circumstances

Let me know if pics are required.

Be a paying member with a basic membership. If you don’t have one you can still enter and I will cover the basic membership as a gift to you.

I'll pay for the membership if I win.

Thanks.

Awesome opportunity! I'm hoping to have hit 50 posts by now, silly question but is there an easy way to check?

In for B!

For my three keepers, I would have to say 2 GEC 86s in OD Micarta. I picked up one for my son's birth year knife (thank you for that, if you see this!) from another member here, liked it so much I snagged another on secondary. I plan to use mine heavily so he's got memories of me with this one when I give him his. The third would probably be my first birth year knife, an old Remington bullet Tracker.

Lots of others pass the "thin the heard" rounds for various reasons but would probably be sold off before these. 1000017605.jpg1000016322.jpg

In, Sir!
Not for me, I'm playing for JM Âchillepattada Âchillepattada , as far as I know he's got no Winchester, so lot n°1.
I have received so many wonderful gifts from Pochmen, hard to choose only 3 among them, as I would never part of any. 🤔

Nevertheless, those are the cherries on the cake 😉.
So let's go for three...
Of which this is THE ONE, always in my purse

and these follow with very slight margin...
