I like to do a yearly giveaway Super Bowl week to ease the pain of my beloved Dallas Cowboys not making it again but I had another thought. Since I was going to go to two knife shows I thought I would pick up a knife from each to giveaway. Racked my brain on a popular pattern that most liked and landed on a stockman. Who doesn’t love a nice stockman? Sorry for the bad pictures. I will update with better pictures.
Wanted to thank everyone for another great year and this is my small token to say thank you. I’ve met so many great people here and have built lifelong friendships. Bladeforums has become a very important part of my life and you fine people are the reason. Knives is what brought me here but the people is why I stayed.
Rules:
1. Be a regular contributing member of the “Porch”
2. Let’s go with 50 post in the traditionals section. Honor system on this one. I will not be policing this.
3. Be a paying member with a basic membership. If you don’t have one you can still enter and I will cover the basic membership as a gift to you.
4. To enter all you have to do is state which lot you want. Your choices are A, B, or A&B. Also for fun, tell everyone what one of your forever knives is that you would never get rid of under any circumstances. Photos are highly encouraged but not required. You can also enter for others as well. If 10 people enter for John Doe….he gets 10 entries.
5. Open to all worldwide where it is legal to ship. Met too many fine people abroad to keep them out.
6. You can only win one lot.
7. Everything will be covered by me to include shipping. If it gets lost in the mail we will just chalk it up to bad luck
.
The Giveaway will end Wednesday 30 April @ 9am Central time. I will draw from a hat like I always do.
Now the fun part. The stuff!!!!!!
Lot A

Here are two of my forever knives. Small Case fixed blade that I inherited two years ago. It belonged to my Grandfather and I was told that he carried it through WW2. After he got back he put it away and used a similar knife for his everyday belt hanger. The dates on the tang stamp line up with the time frame. He was a wonderful man and I do miss him dearly.

Next is my HHB. This is a forever knife for sure. It means the world to me that I get the privilege to be the Guardian of this fine knife. Jack has become a great friend and the Guardians thread is where I spend the majority of my time. This knife makes a great everyday knife but the friendships it reminds me of is what make it special. It is also my son’s favorite knife and he has already put his dibs on it
