I know that this may be off topic, but I didn't want to post this in Joe's thread about his Ronin Battle Tanto.

Unfortunately Joe had to make the painful decision put his dog Tuco to sleep this morning due to an inoperable tumor.
He just wanted all of his friends on the forums to know.

I hate to hear this. Pets become family and I know the feeling of loss Joe and his family are going through. My condolences.

I'm very sorry to hear this. We are dog people and this is terrible news. My thoughts are with Joe today.

i am a dog person, they are my family since i have no children. i cannot imagine what he is going through... sending thoughts and prayers.

Joey, losing Tuco is worse than losing an arm. I hurt for you. He and his dad Jack were a very special part of your life. You can't "replace" either but maybe there's another little white pup out there waiting for you.

My heart goes out to Joe and his kids. I had to put my best friend of 13 years down last winter, my forever friend, Conner.

my dog, Rider's, death was one of the most painful moments in my life.
Condolences, Joe. I feel ya, brother.

Joe, my sympathies go out to you. I know you are a dog man, and your dog must have been a real man dog. So sorry to hear this, makes me emotional.

Joe:

Condolences on your loss - it's too bad our pets don't outlive us. I put our 14 1/2 year old lab down last year and haven't had the heart to replace him.

Sorry to hear that, my thoughts are with you Joe.

My heart bleeds for you Joe. We have 5, they are our children and our world revolves around them. "GrenfellsBrutalForge"
Is named for my two youngest, Grenfell and Brutus, the are brothers. We lost thier grandfather almost 4 years ago to an inoperable tumor.
I feel for you man, you'll be in my thoughts

Damn. Sorry to hear this news. I hope Joe and his family's mourning is short and they can move into the "fond memories" stage of the loss, but I know from personal experience it will take some time. All the best to you and yours Joe. You have our condolences.

That really sucks.

Sorry Joe

Thanks guys

Tuco was 8 years old and up until about 10 days ago looked really healthy

His father Jack died 4 months ago

Jack was my first Dogo and I didn't even say much about it because I was so devastated

He was 13 and had a great life

He did it all

I had to put him down

He was starting to suffer and I waited to long ..... I just couldn't say goodbye

By the time I took him in he was so dehydrated they could barely get a needle in his arm and this is a dog that looked like a body builder when he was young

It was bad

I didn't think it could get worse

Well it did

Tuco was only 8

He was depressed after his dad died but we were in the woods etc alot and he seemed really good well about 10 days ago he started to exibiting discomfort and uneasiness

He was famous for eating anything he could find in the woods so I thought he just got a bad bone etc so a lot of visits to the vet and a lot of guessing eventually lead me to a specialist that found a tumor on the floor of his pelvis

By this time he was not eating or passing stool and in tremendous pain even on pills

He was in so much pain we had to sedate him and literally went out screaming

The specialist said it would be barbaric to wake him up there was no way to remove the tumor it was the size of a baseball

Really bad day

Tuco and Jack in their prime

Tuco as a baby

Tuco at his best
