Here's a knife that I drooled over at this year's Blade Show. I fondled it several times on that Sunday, but was out of cash. Fortunately (for me at least) this was the one knife that he didn't sell at the show. Gus Kalanzis offered to sell it on the 'net for him as a favor. I contacted Gus and John, and was able to work out a payment plan on it. Gus scanned the knife and sent the pic to me. I put the old world map in the background using Adobe PhotoDeluxe. This is my current wallpaper on my computer. I can't wait to recieve the knife.

It's forged 1084 carbon steel, with a 6" blade and an OAL of 11.5". The handles are mammoth ivory.

Click on the pic for a hi-res version.

That really is a nice picture Kelly. You did a fantastic job. (Almost does the knife justice and that is saying a lot).

Just thought of something ... I should send you a scan of the sheath.

Kelly, I have admired that knife on your site several times, what a beauty, and the background sets it off very nice.
