Has anyone been in contact with either of these makers? Over the years I've purchased over 12 knives and axes from them. Now I'm getting no return emails from either one.
I'll probably put up a like new 12 year old Neeman Forest Axe in the next say or two.
If you've got any info on them, please let me know. Thank you..

You are not the only one having problem contacting them. There seems to be a bigger problem than just poor customer service.

Obviously Steeladdict is not familiar with high quality Axes. High end, hand made, crafted is not for him.
PLEASE SEARCH AUTINE TOOLS
I don't know the current status of either of them. I think the war has had an impact. Over the years John Neeman Axes were up to a 1 year wait.
The demand was over the top. There's a reason. Some people drive beaters, some drive corvettes!!....Oh I get it, there's both just cars. hahahahahaha

Unless I’m missing something, it just sounded like he was trying to answer your question.

Your response sounds deranged and inappropriate to me - but again maybe I don’t have the whole story, and C crbnSteeladdict did something else to hurt your feelings…

There was some issues I remember reading about where someone got ripped of by the mentioned person above. I would be careful

I have never interacted with MwcTexas before, so I had no chance to hurt his feelings. :P
And yes, I agree, his response was kind of weird.

I'm not at all surprised, most of the buyers of these "high quality axes" will never actually use them. It's a status symbol and you posted a link questioning the status of Autine.

He wants to sell them after all.

I might have poor imagination, but I have trouble finding any connection between Russia-Ukraine war and Autine's problems.
One needs to cross 3 international borders and drive 24 hours straight to get from Autine's shop to closest active combat zone.
Did they outsource any part of production to Russian manufacturers?
