I'm guessing they're probably just prop one-offs, but does anyone know anything about the knives the Joker uses in the movie The Dark Knight? I'm not really craving one, I'm just curious.

well, his switchblade is very, very reminiscent of the Cupid OTF. His is very slightly different but essentially the same knife. Not sure about the others.

The "Cupid" that the Joker uses is a cheaper version of the knife and was made by S&W. It has a lock for the blade at the very base of the handle. The Joker also used a Microtech Troodon with a purple handle in the "Why so serious" scene. This is when he sticks the blade of the knife into Gambol's mouth. In the scene where The Joker's knives are being laid out after he has been arrested you can see a Microtech Ultratech and a potato peeler. That's about all I've been able to make out.

Nothing says "complete nutter" like a potato peeler. Look at the expression on the cop's face.

At a local surplus store i've seen "Joker" brand knives, that seem to be replicas of the ones from the movie. I'll look closer at them next time i'm in there.
