For the last year I've used the Juiceman II Juicer.
Worked well but I kept thinking that the pulp weighed a lot.
So I researched a new juicer for fruit and juicy vegetables.
I have a dry juicer that I can get liquid out of a blade of grass, two gear low RPM. But it ain't no good for Fruit and stuff .
I like 2 apples, 2 beets, and a lemon juiced....
So after much lookin I decided on the Omega 4000. Cause it had a pulp extractor and tossed the pulp into a bin.
I've used it for a few days now and it is everything I wanted. The pulp is now lightweight. I get ~ 20% more juice from a given volume. It's easier to clean in spite of having more parts to take apart.
I put a bag in the pulp bin and just remove and toss it.
I wasn't too concerned about the motor warranty but it's 15 years.
The Omega 4000 shreds and juices better, tosses the pulp better...maybe because it's drier....
The mesh juice basket is at least 50% more area than the Juiceman. The blade is designed differently than the Juiceman. It shreds instead of cuts. The Omega makes loading fruit, etc easier with the shredder it uses. Less force to juice the material thru the feed tube.
The Juiceman is ~ $80 and the Omega was $240 shipped.
I initially ordered from Discountjuicers.com but they hadn't shipped after 5 days so I asked them to cancel the order. They were very accomodating.
I ordered the Omega 4000 from Amazon. had it in two days....
The Omega 4000 is a GREAT Juicer. I juice a lot and the cost of organic fruits, veggies adds up and I wanted the most yield. I have it now.
Pics of the Juicer and juicing
Not much bigger than the Juiceman. About the same size
I use the Perrin and mostly my Deviant11 Kitchen knives
I ended up cutting the large beet slices in half to fit the feed tube
Result is a 12 ounce glass to the brim. This glass is ~ 1/16 too tall. So I'll use another when I get some new glasses.
Cleanup is quick and easy
