July Is Kephart Month

I think this is what you're supposed to do with new blades made of carbon steels. Needed a light stropping but was otherwise good to go right out of the packaging.

And the layers of memory making begins...

I may have to do a few more kitchen days with it to get that initial used patina look, but not a bad 1st day of ownership. The resulting pizza was tasty too.

I got my Kephart in over the weekend. I had a number of projects that I was involved with around the homestead so I didn't get to really check it out all that much until yesterday and today.

This is the fourth JK knife that I have had made and so far, it is my absolute favorite. It fills the hand very comfortably and feels like it will be a very sturdy and dependable working knife. I put a light coat of mineral oil on the wood and took it out for some pictures. Once I can get this dressed up in some leather, I expect it will be on my belt quite often.

Thank you, John, this is a terrific knife.
